Gifts to Myself emerged in 2021 as a way to prolong the beauty of flowers I brought into my home during the pandemic, whilst investigating the effects colours had against each other.
No.5, daffodils yellow against yellow, this was an experiment to see if I could make the flowers stand out against such a similar hued background and turned into one of my favourite paintings.
